The European Environment Agency (EEA) is teaming up with the Noise Abatement Society to raise awareness about the health impacts of noise and to reward European initiatives that can help reduce excessive noise. Any product, campaign, innovation or scheme offering a creative solution to a noise problem can be nominated for the Award.

Eligibility Criteria

Submissions may be received for any activity, work or initiative in the field of noise control or soundscape management that was carried out up to 1st August 2012. The European Environment Agency understands that this type of work takes time to design and implement and, most importantly, to review and measure impact. If you would like to re-submit an entry from 2011, or if the initiative you wish to submit has taken place over a longer time period than outlined above, please contact europeansoundscapeaward@eea.europa.eu for more information.

Introduction

This call for proposals is limited to organizations who have replied to the call for proposals for framework partnership (ref. COMM/2012/FPA) before 15 June 2012. Only projects submitted by successful applicants will be taken into consideration for the purpose of awarding grants under this call for proposals.

Purpose of the call for proposals

In the run up to the 2014 European elections, DG Communication is intensifying its efforts to increase awareness among European citizens as to the role and activities of the European Parliament, highlighting its political nature. It is in particular endeavouring to ensure that citizens are informed that the European Parliament is the only directly elected European institution, that its Members are the advocates of the European citizens' interests, and that, since different political parties champion different outcomes affecting European citizens in their daily life, it is the votes of the individual citizens that determine the European governance we have.

In this context, with a view to reinforcing its communication capacity, DG COMM is launching a call for proposals to identify potential beneficiaries for grants for specific projects which will focus on:

• raising awareness of the European Parliament - its role, its political nature
• disseminating information about the European Parliament and its activities
• increasing knowledge and understanding of the three pillars around which theEuropean Parliament operates - politics, policies, values.

In this context, DG Communication is launching a call for proposal open to all the framework partners in order to select projects in the field of production and broadcasting radio programmes. Specific grant agreements will be signed with those framework partners which have been awarded a grant for a specific project following the launch of this call for proposals among the framework partners. These specific agreements will define the precise subject of the agreement, the conditions for performance of the action covered, and the maximum amount which will be paid.

For the establishment of framework partnership agreements with pan-European, national, regional and local organizations active in the fields of television or radio broadcasting, internet activity and event organization for the co-financing of projects aimed at raising public awareness of the European Parliament and encouraging wide public interest in the European decisional process

A Társadalmi felelősségvállalás kollégium nyílt pályázatot hirdet civil szervezetek szakmai projektjeinek támogatására. Felhívjuk figyelmüket, hogy jelen pályázati kiírásnak is részét képezi a "Pályázati Útmutató a NEA 2012. évi működési pályázatokról", amely letölthető a www.civil.kormany.hu/NEA, illetve a www.wekerle.gov.hu/NEA oldalról.

1. A pályázat célja

• civil szervezeteket érintő évfordulók, fesztiválok, hazai és határon túli rendezvények támogatása
• civil szférával kapcsolatos szolgáltató, tanácsadó, oktatási, fejlesztő, segítő, illetve esélyegyenlőséget és akadálymentességet elősegítő tevékenység és intézmények támogatása;
• civil érdek-képviseleti tevékenység támogatása;

2. Rehabilitációs foglalkoztatás
3. Civil együttműködések, közösségi kezdeményezések támogatása

A pályázat célja

A pályázat célja a nevelés és oktatás, képességfejlesztés, gyermek- és ifjúsági érdekképviselet, gyermek- és ifjúságvédelem, egészségmegőrzés, betegségmegelőzés, gyógyító, egészségügyi rehabilitációs tevékenység, kábítószer-megelőzés, természet- és környezetvédelem területén működő civil szervezetek szakmai programjának támogatása, amely az alábbi célok közül legalább egyet valósít meg:
a) civil szervezeteket érintő évfordulók, fesztiválok, hazai és határon túli rendezvények támogatása;
b) civil szférával kapcsolatos tudományos kutatások, monitoring tevékenység és nyilvántartási feladatok támogatása;
c) civil szférával kapcsolatos szolgáltató, tanácsadó, oktatási, fejlesztő, segítő, illetve esélyegyenlőséget és akadálymentességet elősegítő tevékenység és intézmények támogatása.

A pályázat célja a kulturális tevékenység, közművelődés, tudomány és kutatás, hagyományápolás, audio- és telekommunikáció, informatika, elektronikus hírközlés, szak- és felnőttképzés, ismeretterjesztés, társadalmi párbeszéd, fogyasztóvédelem, a település és közösségfejlesztés területén működő civil szervezetek szakmai programjának támogatása. A rendelkezésre álló forrást a Közigazgatási és Igazságügyi Minisztérium biztosítja a „Nemzeti Együttműködési Alap” elnevezésű fejezeti kezelésű előirányzat (ÁHT: 332995) terhére. A Kollégium az arra érdemes pályázatok között összesen 190 632 000,- Ft-ot, azaz egyszázkilencvenmillió-hatszázharminckettőezer forintot oszthat szét.

About the challenge

Second international multidisciplinary conference to be held at the University of Salzburg, Austria, on 10-12 July 2013 Organized by the  University of Salzburg  and the University of Wolverhampton, in association with the United Nations  Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict.

All research proposals which focus on a topic and theme related to ‘Children and War’ are welcome, ranging from the experience of war, flight, displacement and resettlement, to relief, rehabilitation and reintegration work, gender issues, persecution, trafficking, sexual violence, trauma and amnesia, the trans-generational impact of persecution, individual and collective memory, educational issues, films and documentaries, artistic and literary approaches, remembrance and memorials, and questions of theory and methodology. Specific conference themes anticipated are:

• Children as victims, witnesses and participants in armed conflict
• Holocaust, genocide and forced labour
• Deportation and displacement, refugees and asylum seekers
• War crimes, trials and human rights

The CEI Cooperation Fund is used to co-finance projects, i.e. CEI Cooperation Activities, aimed at strengthening  cooperation between the CEI Member States. CEI Cooperation Activities are organised by institutions of CEI Member  States in order to implement the strategic goals and principal objectives set by the CEI Guidelines and Rules of Procedure and by the CEI Plan of Action.

CEI Cooperation Activities are aimed at capacity building by transferring and sharing of know-how, in particular from EU CEI Member States to non- EU CEI Member States, and exchanging experiences and good practice among all CEI Member States.
